The main structure is composed of R.C.C. (Reinforced Concrete Column & Beams), and reinforced concrete roof and floors. All exterior walls are twin blockwork with insulation and damp proofing.
The entire area around the bay has recently been zoned for development. The government has recently committed considerable money to improving the roads and infrastructure in this area, including building a new international airport at Izmir.
